Glauber dynamics for lozenge tilings of a cutout region     lozenge-tilings

Leonid Petrov

Animated lozenge tiling of a convex region with a rectangular cutout, evolving under Glauber dynamics Markov chain. Three rhombus types fill the domain as random flips drive the tiling toward equilibrium. Sliders control grid size, cutout position, simulation speed, and bias; 2D and 3D views available with palette selection.
